AN INNOVATIVE PEDAGOGY AND A DYNAMIC CURRICULUM

  • We believe that real education moves beyond text books and confines of the classroom.
  • We introduce life skill lessons by exposing children to a learning environment that gives them a hand on experience through innovative pedagogy.
  • Life skills and value education is an integral part of our primary and Secondary curriculum. Through these we develop the qualities of self-awareness, self-esteem, assertiveness coping with emotions and coping with stress.
  • The Learning outcomes are Negotiation, Empathy, Managing Peer Relationships and Effective Communication.

PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SECTION

Our focus is to develop attributes like Critical-Thinking, Decision-Making, Creative thinking, etc and other abilities for adaptive and positive behavior.

The method followed is brainstorming on the concept of life skills. Explaining the concept of life skills education through various activities like debates, group discussions, skits, audio-visual presentations, games, role plays, reading and interpreting case studies etc to identify and develop the required qualities.

Classroom teaching is enforced by real life and hands on experiences through field trips and excursions so that the students are able to relate concepts learnt in the class to daily life experiences and apply the knowledge gained successfully. Thus, we lay emphasis on relating knowledge to the world around us by drawing linkage to the theoretical knowledge, its practical application and spiritual significance.

Opportunities are provided to students to become leaders and thinkers of tomorrow. Student Clubs, Student Magazine, Student Volunteering Services are all means to develop an all rounded professional and emphatic individual. The curriculum is well rounded and has lot of scope for co – curricular and extra-curricular activities over and above a focus on Core Academics.

To give every child an opportunity to listen & speak, read & write, explore & experiment, observe & question. Assessment : Both Oral & Written along with Projects and subject enrichment opportunities are done all round the year both formally ad informally to assess the academic growth of the child.
